- Identity verification: selfie, driver's license number, SSN last-4 (stored only in masked or tokenized form).
- Group participation: contributions, payouts, referral codes, liability status.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, usage patterns.

- To create and manage your account.
- To verify your identity and prevent fraud.
- To manage group contributions, payouts, and liability.
- To send reminders, confirmations, and important notices.
- To comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
3. How We Protect Information
- Sensitive data such as SSNs and ID images are processed through secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe Identity).
- We do not store raw SSNs or ID images in our database.
- We use HTTPS, encryption, and access controls to protect your data.
4. Sharing of Information
We may share your data with:
- Identity and payment providers (Stripe, Twilio, Zoho).
- Law enforcement or regulators if required by law.
- Your group members for transparency (limited info such as your name, avatar, KYC verification status).
We will never sell your personal information to marketers or third parties.

We keep your information as long as you are a MoneyPool user. Certain financial and identity records may be retained longer to comply with U.S. law.

- You may request to access, update, or delete your information.
- You may opt out of non-essential notifications.
- You may close your account at any time, but group obligations remain enforceable.
7. Children's Privacy
MoneyPool is not for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy. If we do, we'll notify you by email or in-app before changes take effect.
